The course will help you to improve your Russian skills and to get familiar with famous Russian and Soviet movies and cartoons.
During the classes, we will watch movies, do some tasks based on the watched movie, analyze and discuss our impressions as well as do some writing exercises. We will have online sessions each week with watching movies and working on Russian based on them. All necessary materials will be provided by the teacher.
At the end of the course, the participants will be able to use different oral and written expressions and grammar constructions that they can use in their everyday communication. Students improve their Russian skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The students are also familiar with the well-known Russian movies and cartoons, film directors, and actors as a part of the country study. Students are able to describe and analyze the plot of the movie, characters and express their attitudes and discuss their thoughts with others.

Anna Kuznetsova, MA. Being born in Russia, currently, Anna is a doctoral researcher at the University of Tartu and a certified teacher of Russian as a foreign language. She obtained her diploma from Moscow State University and has experience teaching Russian in an international environment.
Timetable
The course can be taken as an “after-class” course in addition to other courses.
Schedule:
July 17, 24, 31 (every Thursday) at 17:30 – 19:30.
Participants
Anyone interested in the Russian language. At least an A2/B1 level of Russian is needed.
Credit points
1 ECTS. In order to get the certificate and transcript of records, students have to participate in at least 75% of the classes and pass a test or give a presentation at the end of the course.
