Language Immersion Weekend in Narva

5-6 August 2023

For participants of the Russian Language Course, we offer a unique possibility to combine studying Russian with visiting the most Russian-speaking city of the European Union – Narva, located at the Estonian-Russian border where 95% of the population speak Russian. The program is designed for those who study Russian and want to practice it in everyday situations to improve their language skills. All activities of the program are in Russian, additionally you can practice language with local people!

Program of the tour

Saturday, 5th of August 
8.00 Departure from Tallinn by bus
12.00 Arrival in Narva, accommodation, light lunch in Vitatiim International Youth Centre
13.00 Getting acquainted with Narva: quest in the city
16.00 Cooking workshop: Russian traditional cuisine
18.00 Informal dinner: community evening with local people, living library
Free time, possibility to visit a very nice sandy beach in Narva-Jõesuu
Sunday, 6th of August
9.00 Breakfast in a hotel
10.00 Guided tour in Narva Museum located in the unique castle on the bank of the border river in front of Russian Ivangorod Fortress
12.00 Workshop: Russian national traditions and games
13.00 Lunch in the restaurant of the museum
15.00 Guided tour in the Russian Orthodox Cathedral

17.30 Departure from Narva
20.45 Arrival in Tallinn

Participants

The program of the trip is designed for those who study Russian and want to practice it in everyday situations to improve their language skills. All activities of the program are in Russian.

Fee

The fee for the trip is 315 EUR 

Transportation Tallinn-Narva-Tallinn by bus/train, accommodation in *** hotel (double/triple rooms), all excursions and workshops, meals (light lunch and dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday), group guide`s support are included in the price.
