Non-Dictionary English is a course designed to explore the dynamic and evolving nature of the English language beyond standard dictionary definitions.
The course focuses on colloquial expressions, idioms, slang, cultural references, and emerging trends in informal communication. Students will analyze the role of context, regional variation, and social factors in shaping non-standard English usage, enhancing their understanding of real-world communication and cultural diversity. Ideal for language enthusiasts, writers, and professionals looking to refine their skills in interpreting and using non-traditional English effectively.

Participants
The course is open for all students of English from level B1.
Credit points
1 ECTS. In order to get the certificate and transcript of records, students have to participate in at least 75% of the classes and make a presentation at the end of the course.
